Larry Driewer

Larry Driewer, age 60, of Hampton, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016, at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, March 19th at Zion Lutheran Church northeast of Hampton. Rev. Loren Cooper will officiate. Interment will be in the Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 P.M. Friday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Hampton Lutheran Schools. OBITUARY: LARRY DRIEWER

Larry Allen Driewer, the son of Lewis and Evelyn (Rathje) Driewer, was born in York, Nebraska on August 3, 1955 and passed away in Hampton, Nebraska on March 13, 2016, at the age of 60.

He grew up in Hampton and attended Zion Lutheran Parochial School and graduated from Hampton High School. Larry attended University of Nebraska at Lincoln for one year.

Larry was united in marriage to Janet K. Griess on July 30, 1988 at Zion Lutheran Church at Hampton. Larry was a farmer and a welder. Outside of work, Larry enjoyed his time with family and friends. He also spent many hours reading.

Larry was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. He served as an usher for many years and was a member of The Praise Team.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Paul R. Griess and brother-in-law, Robert Hofmann.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Janet of Hampton; two children, Clinton Griess of Bradshaw and Jean Driewer of Hastings; parents, Lewis and Evelyn Driewer of York; two sisters, Leslie (Ed) Lippert of Arvada, Colorado and Vicki (Neil) Rasmussen of Ruston, Louisiana; brother, Jim Driewer of Hampton; mother-in-law, Sinobia Griess of Sutton; two sisters-in-law, Jocelyn Hofmann of Sutton and Joleen (Brian) Mowitz of Aurora; brother-in-law, Dale (Sheila) Griess of Sutton and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
