Patricia 'Pat' Hanson

Patricia ‘Pat’ Hanson, age 87, of Aurora, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018, at Tiffany Square in Grand Island.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Monday, July 9th at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Rev. Michelle Reed will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 P.M. Sunday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. Memorials may be made in care of the family to designate at a later date. OBITUARY: PATRICIA ‘PAT’ HANSON

Patricia Ann Hanson, the daughter of John Raymond and Twila (Sailor) Beacom, was born in Sutton, Nebraska on September 24, 1930 and passed away in Grand Island, Nebraska on July 6, 2018, at the age of 87.

She grew up on the family farm south of Aurora. In 1944, they moved into Aurora and Pat graduated from Aurora High School in 1948.

On June 22, 1951, she was united in marriage to Donald Paul Hanson at Aurora. They lived on the family farm south of Aurora. They had two sons: Todd and Michael. She worked for many years at Mo-nets. Donald passed away on May 12, 2009.

Pat was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church and several church circles. Pat was an active member of PEO and several card clubs. She especially loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pat was known for her warm smile, her love and compassion and the gatherings of her family for farm house dinners.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and son, Mike Hanson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Todd (Marlene) Hanson of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Telo Hanson of Aurora; 6 grandchildren, Tiffany (Ryan) Hagler, Jonathan (Danielle) Hanson, Micah (Jennifer) Hanson, Luke (Whitney) Hanson, Keenan and Krystah Hanson and 9 great-grandchildren, Jericho, Lily, Isla Hagler, Kate & Lincoln Hanson, Tessa & Summer Hanson and Augustine & Stelsam Hanson. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Maylon (Karen) Hanson of Grand Island.
