Lad Havlik

Lad J. Havlik, age 81, of Aurora, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016, at Memorial Community Care in Aurora.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 8th at the Crossroads Bible Fellowship Church at Henderson. Inurnment will take place at a later date in a veteranís cemetery. No Visitation. Lad Havlik, son of Ladimer and Mary (Novak) Havlik, was born in Omaha, Nebraska on March 2, 1935 and passed away in Aurora, Nebraska on March 3, 2016, at the age of 81.

Lad graduated from high school in Omaha, Nebraska. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served from March 1954 and received an honorable discharge January 1965. Lad worked as a television repairman and car detailer. He retired and moved to Crossroads Court Apartments in Aurora, Nebraska in March 1999.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Ardeth (Henry) Morris; 3 children, Joe (Rachel) Havlik of Aurora, Chris Havlik of Omaha and Billie Jo (Stan) Dobbs of Beaufort, SC; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by ex-wife, Carolyn Kleinschmit of Yankton, SD.
