Ronald Heinen, age 70, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 19, 2019, after a long illness with his family by his side.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 23rd at Messiah Lutheran Church in Aurora. Rev. Sarah Ruch will officiate. Interment will be in Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The family requests you wear comfortable clothes to the service. Memorials may be made to the family to designate at a later date. OBITUARY: RONALD HEINEN
Ronald Eugene Heinen, the son of Charles Frank and Edith Marie (Heftie) Heinen, was born in Aurora, Nebraska on May 10, 1948 and passed away in Lincoln, Nebraska on January 19, 2019, at the age of 70.
He grew up in Aurora and attended Aurora Public Schools. Ron earned his GED prior to his military service. Ron served in the U.S. Army in 1968. Ron married Sharon and they had four children. Ron worked many years at Kelly and Chief Industries.
Ron loved the Lord and was very faithful. He enjoyed playing pool, working on cars, his dogs and Husker football. Ron loved fishing with his son and brother, Robert. But most of all he loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon and brother, Roger Heinen.
Those left to cherish his memory are his four children, Christina Heinen; Michelle Heinen-Platt, Kerry Heinen-Delgado and Ronald E. (Beatriz) Heinen, Jr.; 17 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; his brother, Robert (Carol) Heinen; two sisters, Delores (Roy) Green and Sharon (James) Brumbough and many other family members and friends.
