Dale Hoegh

Dale Hoegh, age 93, of Aurora, passed away Monday, December 31, 2018, at Memorial Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Friday, January 4th at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Kronborg. Rev. Chris Kester Beyer will officiate. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 P.M. Thursday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the family to designate at a later date. OBITUARY: DALE HOEGH

Dale Eugene Hoegh was born on December 2, 1925 at Aurora, Nebraska to Erhardt Andrew and Agnes Christina (Johnson) Hoegh and passed away in Aurora, Nebraska on December 31, 2018, at the age of 93.

He attended Dist 81 Country School thru the eighth grade and two years of high school at Aurora. He spent a short time in the U.S. Army in 1945 and 1946.

Dale was united in marriage to Roma Loine Lewis on June 20, 1948. They farmed and lived on his parentís home place until 1982 when they moved to Aurora. Their lives were blessed with four wonderful children; Rick, Jerry, Tony and Peggy. Dale loved to farm, carpentry and construction work. He was a rural mail carrier from 1975 to 1996, first as a sub in Marquette and full-time in Aurora. Roma passed away on February 4, 2004.

On April 29, 2006, he was united in marriage to June Jorgensen at St. Johnís Lutheran Church at Kronborg. June passed away on October 1, 2014.

His greatest love was his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He liked to watch his children in sports and then his grandkids. Dale was a member of St. Johnís Lutheran Church where he served on the board for many years. He was also a volunteer for many years at the Plainsman Museum where he was a part of the A-Team.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Roma and second wife, June and infant sister, Virginia.

Those left to cherish his memory are his four children, Rick (Denese) Hoegh of Hampton, Jerry (Trish) Hoegh of Aurora, Tony (Linda) Hoegh of Hampton and Peg (Harlan) Schafer of Aurora; grandchildren, Brock (Jordana) Hoegh, Trevor (Sarah) Hoegh, Tara (Jerry) Cunningham, Josh (Heidi) Hoegh, Benji (Shannon) Hoegh, Stacie (Jeff) Uhrmacher, Cody (Emily) Hoegh, Leslie (Lee) Wolfe, Abby (Chase) Edwards, Ashlynn Hoegh and fiancť Tyler Nelson, Kiley (Charlie) James, Hagen (Kristina) Schafer, Dane (Jenny) Schafer and Lacey (Nathan) Mason; great-grandchildren, Nyah, Kenley and Shaydon Hoegh, Aniston, Briggs and Mabry Hoegh, Crue and Dilynn Cunningham, Will and Evie Hoegh, Ella, Avery and Benson Hoegh, Tre, Trinity and Isaiah Uhrmacher, Tinley, Hadley, Huxley and Remy Hoegh, Braylon, Amirah, Mavrik and Leneyah Wolfe, Liza and Lauren Edwards, Wyatt and Savanna James, Hudsen and Liam Schafer, Kelsey and Drake Schafer, Kenna & Merick Mason and number 35 due in May; Juneís three children, Raymond (Diana) Jorgensen of Kearney, Teresa (Joe) Winter of Bradshaw and Cheryl (Keith) Trimm of Fairbury. He is also survived by brother-in-law, Lester Williamson and many nieces and nephews and many friends.
