Lonne Hoselton

Lonne Hoselton, age 46, of Marquette, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016, at Memorial Community Care in Aurora.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 21st at St. Johnís Lutheran Church at Kronborg. Revs. Ben & Courtney Erzkus will officiate. Interment will be at St. Johnís Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 Ė 7 P.M. Tuesday at St. Johnís Lutheran Church, 2174 North T Road. The family requests casual attire for the services. Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date. Higby-McQuiston Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Lonne Ray Hoselton, the son of Delbert and Penny (Whitworth) Hoselton, was born at Grand Island, Nebraska on November 10, 1969 and passed away in Aurora, Nebraska on September 18, 2016, at the age of 46.

Lonne grew up in Grand Island and graduated from Northwest High School in 1988. He worked at Dowdís in Alda.

Lonne was united in marriage to Dara Andersen on April 24, 1999 at St. Paulís Lutheran Church in Central City. They made their home in Marquette, while he worked in Central City at Woodyís and the Grand Island Interstate Holiday Inn. Lonne quit working in 2003 due to health problems. He fought end stage renal disease and lymphoma for 13 years.

Lonne loved NASCAR and Husker Football. Lonne was proud of the fact that he and Dara were foster parents from 2001 to 2008 and from this they adopted three of their four children.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Stella & Jake Whitworth and paternal grandfather, Arthur Hoselton.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dara of Marquette; four children, Nino of Grand Island, Sierra, Angelina and Carly all of Marquette; father & mother, Delbert & Penny Hoselton of Grand Island; sister, Michelle Janulewicz of Grand Island; grandmother, Maxine Hoselton of Omaha; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Ray & Karen Andersen of Marquette, brother-in-law, Curt (Jane) Andersen of Kearney; nieces and nephews, Jordan, Devin, Peyton, Cody, Jason (Alicia), Trey, and Kyle; great niece, Charlotte and many other family members and friends.
