Maxine Hutsell, age 82, formerly of Aurora, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016, at the Mount Carmel Home in Kearney.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 29th at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Aurora. Rev. Wayne Oblender will officiate. Interment will be in Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 – 7 P.M. Wednesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Prayer Chapel at York College Campus, 938 Mayhew Ave, York, Nebraska. OBITUARY: MAXINE HUTSELL
Maxine Marie Hutsell, the daughter of Clarence and Paula Heiden, was born on a farm east of Benedict, Nebraska, on July 22, 1934, and passed away at Kearney, Nebraska, on December 22, 2016, at the age of 82.
The family moved to Albion and then Lincoln for several years before returning to Benedict where she graduated from Benedict High School in 1952. Maxine worked at a bank in York and then the York County Court House for several years.
On September 30, 1956, the Lord united her in marriage to Emory ‘Keith’ Hutsell at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of York. They farmed east of Marquette, where Maxine stayed at home to raise the family’s five children. After raising the family, Maxine returned to work at KKBB radio station in Aurora, Jim’s “Aurora Mall”, Valley View Golf Course in Central City and Hamilton Manor. Keith was called to his eternal home on June 15, 1989 after the Lord had blessed them with 32 years of marriage.
Maxine was baptized on July 29, 1934, confirmed on March 21, 1948 and married at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of York. She was a long time member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Aurora. Maxine helped the Hamilton County Election Board on voting day for many years. She was a member of an Extension Club and was very involved in her children’s activities at school.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and an infant daughter and infant son.
Those who remain to cherish her memory are her five children, Brian of Kyle, Texas, Larry (Lisa) of Loveland, Colorado, Jacqueline (Les) Adelung of Amherst, Kevin (Renee) of Marquette, and Monica (Scott) Richert of Gresham; 12 grandchildren, Jeffrey (Leah) Hutsell, Matthew, and Stephanie Hutsell, Trevor, Riley, and Austin Adelung, Nicholas and Elizabeth Hutsell, Melissa, Kyle, Amy, and Trey Richert; a brother, Elden (Bonnie) Heiden of Las Cruces, New Mexico and brother-in-law, Darold (Kathy) Hutsell of Central Point, Oregon and many other relatives and friends.
Maxine’s earthly remains will be laid to rest at Aurora Cemetery, there to wait the resurrection that is sure to come at the last day.
