Katie Norris

Katie (Heiden) Norris, age 35, of Hampton, passed away in her sleep Friday, July 15, 2016 in Drake, Colorado.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, July 23rd at the Countryside Bible Church south of Hampton. Pastor Rod Goertzen will officiate. Private family interment will be in the Hampton Cemetery. No Visitation. Memorials may be made to the Hampton Public School Computer Fund or Countryside Bible Church Benevolence Fund. OBITUARY: KATIE NORRIS

Katherine ‘Katie’ Lee Norris, the daughter of Fred and Ann (Wall) Heiden was born in Denver, Colorado on February 23, 1981 and passed away in Drake, Colorado, on July 15, 2016, at the age of 35.

Katie graduated from Hampton High School in 1999. She attended John Brown University in Salome Springs, Arkansas with her education in Early Childhood Development.

Katie married Tracy John Norris in January 2006. Three children were born to them: Reagan Norris age 9, Piper Norris, age 6 and Jackson Norris, age 4. Katie and Tracy were divorced May 2016.

Katie loved spending time with her children and she planned “adventures” to go on with them during their time together – even an outing in a park was an adventure to be shared. She and her children resided in Hampton since November 2013. All three children attended Hampton Elementary School.

She loved Christian messages and music and cooking and baking.

She was preceded in death by her bio father, Dan Wurtz and baby sister, Carrie Wurtz.

Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Fred & Ann Heiden of Hampton; three children, Reagan Olivia, Piper Katherine and Jackson John; brother, John Heiden of Mission, Texas; sisters, Lisa (Brent) Hollis of Kearney, Courtney (Mike) Wiley of Leavenworth, Kansas and nieces and nephews.
