Wilma Nuss, age 91, of Lincoln, formerly of Aurora, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at the High Plains Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Lincoln.
Funeral Services will be held 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, November 30th at the chapel of Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. Rev. Paul Nauman will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to High Plains Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Lincoln. OBITUARY: WILMA ‘PAT’ NUSS
Wilma Alice Nuss, the daughter of Wilbur A. and Myrtle (Sailor) Wolfe, was born in Hamilton County, Nebraska on July 31, 1925 and passed away in Lincoln, Nebraska on November 23, 2016, at the age of 91.
The family lived in Stockham, Nebraska. Wilma graduated from Stockham High School in 1943.
Wilma was united in marriage to Curtis M. Nuss in 1944. They lived on a farm in Clay County and Wilma moved to Aurora in 1969. Wilma worked at Denny’s Electric, Ellis Pharmacy and the Hamilton Manor for approximately 20 years, retiring in 1993. Curtis passed away in March of 1993.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Archie ‘Bud’ Wolfe and Vernon Wolfe; 3 sisters, Nina Wolfe, Esther Wolfe and Dorothy Wach; son-in-law, Bret Fox; daughter-in-law, Nancy Nuss; grandson, Josiah Nuss and step-grandson, Justin Ruhl.
Those left to cherish her memory are her five children, Larry (Judy) Nuss of Sutton, Ray Nuss of Lincoln, Jerry (Linda) Nuss of Grand Island, Sandy Fox of Raymond and Randy (Sally) Nuss of Stella; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members.
