Myron Ostrander, age 90, of Aurora, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020, at Blue Valley Lutheran Home in Hebron.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions in place at this time, interment will be at the Hampton Cemetery. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
OBITUARY: MYRON OSTRANDER
Myron Ellis Ostrander, the son of Fred and Hazel (Lawver) Ostrander, was born in Rising City, Nebraska on March 13, 1930 and passed away on March 30, 2020 at the age of 90.
Myron grew up and attended school. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Myron was honorably discharged on November 30, 1954.
Myron married Rowena Campbell on March 31, 1956 and they had six children. She passed away on January 28, 1987.
Myron worked for the Village of Hampton and Cargill. On Dec. 14, 1984, he married Barbara Morrison in Geneva. Barbara passed away on December 28, 2018.
His hobbies included working on old tractors and collecting antiques.
Myron was preceded in death by his wife, a brother, and sister.
Survivors include six children Connie (Dick) Munk of Newport, Gerald Ostrander of Hampton, Myra (Jerry Fink) Robinson of Hebron, Tammy (Brad) Beyea of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Nancy (Dane) Rodgers of Noblesville, Indiana and Kay (Wayne) Kugel of Hebron; 4 step-children, Michael (Juana) Davis of Bridgeport, Texas, Roy (Darlene) Rouse Jr. of Aurora, LeRoy (Mae) Rouse of Round Rock, Texas and Marie Angela (Jerry) Whiting of Omaha; sister, Judy Bohaboj of Clarkson; 26 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
