William ‘Bill’ Vetter, age 53, of York, formerly of Aurora, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Bryan/LGH Medical Center West in Lincoln.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 24th at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Pastor Ron Harris will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. The family requests casual attire to the service. Memorials may be made to Mosaic of York. OBITUARY: WILLIAM ‘BILL’ VETTER
William Joe Vetter, the son of Lynn Eugene and Betty Marie (Shaneyfelt) Vetter, was born in Aurora, Nebraska on September 28, 1963 and passed away in Lincoln, Nebraska on July 20, 2017, at the age of 53.
He grew up in Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School. After his schooling, Bill worked at the school cafeteria. After the deaths of his parents, Bill went to live at Mosaic in York. When he was there, he worked at the recycling center. He loved living there and they became like his second family.
Bill enjoyed swimming, fishing, Elvis Presley music, dancing at weddings, the Chipmunks and drinking his Pepsi. He especially loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Barb Vetter.
Those left to cherish his memory are his three brothers, Michael Vetter of Winterville, Georgia, Jim (Teresa) Vetter of Lincoln and Jeff (Lori) Vetter of Kearney; sister, Judy (Keith) Penner of Central City; 10 nieces & nephews; many great-nieces & nephews and his special friends at Mosaic in York.
