Keith Wetherington

Keith Wetherington, age 50, of Aurora, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016, at his home.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 12th at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Rev. Ron Harris will officiate. No Visitation. Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date. Higby-McQuiston Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. OBITUARY: WILLIAM WETHERINGTON

William Keith Wetherington, the son of William Russell and Dora Montes DeOca, Wetherington, was born at El Centro, California on February 23, 1965 and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska on February 7, 2016, at the age of 50.

Keith grew up and spent the majority of his time in San Diego, California. He also lived in Lima Peru and Tampa, Florida where he attended high school at each community. Keith then moved to Las Vegas, NV where he met his future wife.

Keith was united in marriage to Julie McClellan on June 18, 1994. They moved to St. Paul where he worked for IAMS in Aurora. In 2001 they moved to Aurora and he continued to work for IAMS for a total of 18 years.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He especially enjoyed camping and spending time with his family on his boat. Keith was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Kevin and his grandparents.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Julie of Aurora; sons, John Travis Wetherington of Vermillion, South Dakota and William Cole Wetherington of Aurora; father, William (Cori) Wetherington of Brooksville, FL; mother Dora Wetherington Coronado, CA; brother, Mark (Cindy) Wetherington of San Diego, CA; sister, Vicki Marshall (David Byers) of San Diego, CA and half-sisters Katheryn Wetherington of Florida and Hattie Bea of Oregon. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members.
