Timothy Dean Andersen, the son of Ardean and Annebell (Smith) Andersen, was born 23 July 1951 in Central City, Nebraska. He passed away in his home near Marquette, Nebraska on January 11, 2021 of natural causes.
For everyone's safety, the family will hold an immediate family-only graveside memorial service at St. John's Cemetery - Kronborg. Higby-McQuiston Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. OBITUARY: TIM ANDERSEN
Tim grew up on the family farm near Marquette and graduated from Marquette High School where he played sports and participated in band and other extracurricular activities. After high school, he attended Business School in Grand Island and then worked for a time in Lincoln, Nebraska. He served in the U.S. Army from 1974-1976 where he was promoted several times. After discharge, he returned to central Nebraska, and eventually joined his parents in managing livestock on the family farm. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Tim followed local and Nebraska sports closely, keeping careful records of the athletic successes of many UN-L college athletes for several years.
Tim is preceded in death by his father. Those left to cherish Tim's memory are his mother, Annebell, of Aurora; two sisters, Cynthia Claassen of Arlington, Texas and Katherine Andersen of Waukesha, Wisconsin; brother and sister-in-law Sam and Wendy Andersen of Marquette; several nieces and nephews; and other family members.
From 1 Corinthians 15:42-44: "The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable . . . it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; and it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body."
