Rosanne Meyer, 79, of Aurora passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at G.I. Regional Medical Center.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 29th at the United Methodist Church, 1104 A Street, Aurora. Rev. Michelle Reed will officiate. Inurnment will take place at the Aurora Cemetery at 10:00 A.M. prior to the service. No Visitation. Memorials may be made to the family to designate at a later date. OBITUARY: ROSANNE MEYER
Rosanne Kay Meyer, the daughter of Keith W. and Rosalie Eileen (Bayne) Maw was born at Grand Island, Nebraska on May 19, 1943 and passed away at Grand Island, Nebraska on October 18, 2022 at the age of 79.
She grew up on a farm near Aurora and attended school in Giltner for 11 1/2 years. Rosanne obtained her GED in 1972. In 1959 she married Edward Hoegren. They had four children and then divorced in 1973. Rosanne worked as a nurse most of her life. In 1983, she married Ron Meyer, while working at a nursing home in Aurora. Throughout their marriage she worked as a nurse supervisor in Omaha at Remington Heights and lived in Omaha until 2000. They moved to Aurora where Rosanne worked at Hamilton Manor and Hamilton Telecommunications. In 2004, Rosanne retired due to health problems. Ron passed away on July 10, 2011.
Rosanne was a member of the Methodist Church. She loved her family very much. Rosanne loved to cook, bake and garden and spend time with her beloved dogs throughout the years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ron Meyer and daughter, Brenda Lee Andrews.
Those left to cherish her memory are her three children, Duane Hoegren of Omaha, Wanda Hoegren of Aurora, Colorado and Darin Hoegren of Omaha; 5 grandchildren, Katie (Ethan) Hoins, Tanya Andrews & Chad Davis, Brandi Andrews & Jeff Barber, Hailey Hoegren and Cruz Hoegren; 4 great- grandchildren, Clay Wartchow & fiancee, Brianna Monk, Cole (Alyssa) Wartchow, Cash Davis and River Barber; 3 great-great grandchildren, Delanie Wartchow and Creek Wartchow and Hudson Wartchow.
