Carolyn Roehrs

Carolyn Roehrs, age 71, of Bradshaw, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at CHI-St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 18th at Zion Lutheran Church north of Hampton. Rev. David Feddern will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. No Visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in care of Zion Lutheran Church. Higby-McQuiston Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. OBITUARY: CAROLYN ROEHRS

Mary Carolyn Roehrs, the daughter of Robert Weldon and Donna Lee (Dodge) Puffinbarger was born in Ohio on March 8, 1950 and passed away in Grand Island, Nebraska on February 13, 2022, at the age of 71.

Carolyn grew up in the Alma area. She was baptized and confirmed on May 17, 1964 at Grace Lutheran Church in Alma,

Carolyn was married to Allan Roehrs on November 11, 1989 at Zion Lutheran Church north of Hampton. She worked at International Sensors and Hamilton Telecommunications for several years before spending the longest time as a cashier at Aurora Mall. Carolyn was known as the 'Hat Lady'. She retired due to her declining health.

Carolyn was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She liked spending her time playing games on her computer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Kathy Zarghami and Bobby Young-Mentgen; sister-in-law, Judy Roehrs and brothers-in-law, Frank Brumbaugh and Kirk Goertzen

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 32 years, Allan of Bradshaw; son, George Henry Lynn and sister, Diane Street of Campbell. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Barb (Larry) Stettner of Hampton, Phyllis Brumbaugh of Bradshaw and Sharon Goertzen of Hampton; brother-in-law, Dennis Roehrs of Hampton and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
