She spent most of her growing up years with her aunt and uncle Berger and Eleanor Hendrickson who cared for her till she was thirteen. She was reunited with her father and step-mother Lisa (Ritter) and began traveling as her dad was an army officer. Judy attended and graduated from Rochefort American High School, Rochefort, France, class of 1958, and spoke often of the international friends she made during those years.

Judy attended Quinsigamond Community College and Wheelock College and taught pre-school for twenty-five years at Salem Covenant Church and Trinity Lutheran Church in Worcester, MA. She was very involved in her churches in various capacities but she was known for her faithfulness in praying daily for family, friends and anyone God placed on her heart.

Bob and Judy raised their family in Worcester, MA and Holden, MA before retiring to Florida and in 2013 moved to Aurora, NE.
