Lila Senff-Miller

Lila Senff-Miller, age 90, of Hampton, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Aurora.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, March 9th at Zion Lutheran Church north of Hampton. Rev. David Feddern will officiate. Interment will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will from 5 -7 P.M. on Tuesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. Memorials may be given to the family to designate at a later date. Lila June Senff-Miller, the daughter of Emil and Louise (Wellman) Staehr, was born on a farm west of Goehner, Nebraska in Seward County on January 1, 1932 and passed away in Aurora, Nebraska on March 5, 2022, at the age of 90.

Lila grew up in the Goehner/Waco area and graduated from Waco High School.

On June 4, 1950, she was married to Ivan Henry Senff at St. John's Lutheran Church near Waco, Nebraska. They had five children: Gary, Kathy, LouAnn, Arthur and Eugene. They farmed in the Hampton area until retiring in 1991. They were married for 50 years before Ivan passed away on June 12, 2000.

On October 10, 2010, she was married to Maynard William Miller at Zion Lutheran Church north of Hampton.

Lila was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she served on the ladies aide and church secretary for 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Ivan.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Maynard of Hampton; five children, Gary Senff of Columbus, Kathy McDonald of York, LouAnn Meyers of Aurora, Arthur Senff of Hampton and Eugene (Connie) Senff of Hampton; 14 grandchildren, Cierra Senff of Columbus, Chayla Senff of Omaha, Jonie Franks of Texas, Cory (Brandy) Engert of Exeter, Carey Stutzman of Lincoln, Todd Serreyn of York, Tracy (Bryan) Fischer of Indiana, Ricky (Kate) Meyers of Hastings, Kristy Meyers of Texas, Angela Senff of Omaha, Jake Senff of Omaha, Betsy Senff of Aurora, Samantha Senff of Aurora and Olivia Senff of Seward; 17 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Marlene Will of Indiana and sister-in-law, Doris Staehr of California and many other relatives and friends and Maynard's two children, Kevin (Amy) Miller and Susanne (Darin) Hesshiemer and their families.
